Race Schedule

The schedule is updated on a monthly basis. See what races you can attend this month, as well as over the next two months across all racetracks.
First read about the grades and the times of races, then learn how to read the timetable. Which race will you go see first?

Monthly Schedule for the Kyushu Region

Each timetable is divided by each region and with the names of the racetracks written on the left. For Kyushu, they are in the following order: Fukuoka, Ashiya, Wakamatsu, Karatsu and Omura.
At the top of the table you can see the dates, so you can easily check on which day what series of races will be performed. The grades are differentiated by colors. If there is a specific time of day when races will take place, it is indicated by a mark.

Race Grades

SG stands for Special Grade, which is the highest race grade. The SG races are the top events of the Boat Race world and only the top racers contend. There are a total of eight SG races. The Grand Prix offers the highest prize money with 110 million yen at stake.

PG1 stands for Premium Grade 1. Of the G1 races, the PG1 events in particular attract a lot of attention. They are positioned between the SG and G1 races.

In principle, participation in G1 races is limited to racers of the A1 class.*
*Racers are ranked in classes, from A1 down to B2, according to their race results.

The G2 races feature racers whose standings are next in line to those of the G1 racers.

The G3 races offer higher prize money than regular races.

All ladies

Masters league

These G3 races are open only to veteran racers who are 45 years old or older.
